EQUAL ACCESS
“BIPOC artists made up less than 4% of the commercial country music industry from 2000 to 2020, inclusive of radio play, record deals, singles on the country charts, and CMA + ACM award nominations.” -Dr. Jada E. Watson, “Redlining in Country Music” - SongData.ca
In an effort to address these inequities, mtheory and CMT together launched “Equal Access” - an artist and management training initiative designed to foster and support all marginalized communities that are underrepresented in the country music genre.

This year's 2022 class includes Amythyst Kiah, Callista Clark, Camille Parker, Jenna Paulette, Julia Cole, Laci Kaye Booth, Lily Rose, Madeline Edwards, Miko Marks and Morgan Wade.
