LISA CHADER
Chief Communications Officer
Lisa Chader is a senior communications executive with 25 years of experience in corporate PR for top television and entertainment entities, holding leadership and management positions at companies such as CMT, Viacom, Comedy Central, VH1 and TBS. She is the Chief Communications Officer of The Change Agent·cy, a social impact leadership firm that builds and supports meaningful partnerships amongst artists, brands, and media to advocate for the causes they care about.
From unit publicist, red carpet engineer, talent handler and program publicist to media strategist, senior advisor and underdog advocate, Chader has long championed divergent thought, big ideas and common-sense solutions. With television PR careers in Atlanta and Los Angeles, she arrived in Nashville in 2005 to head up the Corporate Communications division at CMT. There, she served as a key member of the network’s senior executive team, responsible for creating and executing all network and program publicity strategies for original series and live music events, managing staff in LA and Nashville.
In 2014, Chader left her post as Senior Vice President at CMT to pursue PR roles outside of a corporate structure and began independently representing a variety of clients covering music, digital media, pro-social initiatives and events.
Highly skilled at client branding, strategic counsel, media relations and business development, Chader has worked with such organizations as Cox Media Group, Viacom, the Bredesen for Senate campaign, BMI, City Winery Nashville, dick clark productions, Nutrisystem, and more. She’s orchestrated publicity efforts for multiple live music events and red carpets, including the CMT Music Awards, fundraising events, television premieres and more.
Originally from the Atlanta area (Lithonia to be exact), Chader is a graduate of Florida State University and resides in Brentwood, TN, with her family. She’s a certified Pilates instructor and an alumnus of Leadership Music, Class of 2009; as well as a graduate of the Betsy Magness Leadership Institute via Women in Cable and Telecommunications (WICT), a mentor for the ACM On Ramp program and member of ACM Lifting Voices Council; past Board Member of the TJ Martell Foundation, and a current member of the Country Music Association and Americana Music Association.
