HABITAT FOR HUMANITY INTERNATIONAL

CLIENT SITUATION

Authentic alliances between public figures and nonprofits can be key in securing impactful media exposure while significantly furthering an organization’s mission. For over 40 years, Habitat for Humanity International has maintained relationships with world leaders and luminaries such as longstanding supporters former President Jimmy Carter and former First Lady Rosalynn Carter; and more recently, entertainers Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, and personalities Drew and Jonathan Scott, among others. Leadership recognized the value of such high-profile support and was ready to enhance its celebrity and entertainment relations strategy moving forward.

OUR APPROACH

The Change Agent·cy used its extensive entertainment experience to advise the Habitat team on streamlining and centralizing its efforts and establishing internal processes and communication strategies both for existing talent and new celebrity partnerships. This also included incorporating best practices on engaging talent to share Habitat’s mission through customized PR and marketing campaigns.

VALUE DELIVERED

Using the recommendations provided by The Change Agent·cy, Habitat implemented a new celebrity and entertainment relations strategy, which included hiring a veteran nonprofit talent relations executive.
